
Performance Portfolio
Josephine has been dancing for 19 years, 13 of which were spent training at Performing Arts Academy under the artistic direction of Dawn Laviola-Schaub, and 4 years at Fairleigh Dickinson University under Cindy Thole-Loewus and Carol Bentley, earning her double minor in Dance and Theatre Arts. She performed in 7 Pompton Lakes High School theater productions (spring musicals and fall dramas) under the direction of Robert Texel, Chadius Flynn, and Natalee Phemsit. Josephine served as the Public Relations Chair of the Fairleigh Dance Project, a social issues dance company at FDU for 4 years, where she choreographed over 10 works, taught dance technique, workshops, and artist development and coordinated semesterly dance concerts. Josephine was also a lead performer in Fairleigh Dramatics, FDU's student writing/directing/acting troupe, and was cast in "Quarantine Diaries," "Dog Sees God," "Dandelions Are Wishes," and "Housewarming." In addition, Josephine has choreographed four full length musical theater productions for Pompton Lakes High School while also serving as their costume/hair/make-up and marketing professional. Additionally, she has taught dance classes and headed administrative initiatives at Sharon's Studio of Dance & Music. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from FDU in February of 2023, with a concentration in Multimedia Journalism and minors in Dance and Theatre Arts. Josephine is a company member and choreographer of Extensions Dance Project, a company for dancers to continue their passion outside of their profession, while also working as a dance teacher/choreographer and administrative professional for local dance studios and school districts in New Jersey.
